Gap Canada - Additional 25% off Sale Items (Vancouver Only)

Gap Canada Clearance SaleAll sale items in Vancouver-area Gap stores are an additional 25% off this weekend, May 27th - 31st, 2010. Items will likely get picked over fast so head there early for the best selection. We're still undecided about the new Sprize program in the Vancouver-area, what do you think of it?

Sprize

I was kinda "eh" about the program too, until I bought a $7.99 top on clearance a couple of months ago and it got further reduced , and I got a difference of $2.72 (?) to my Sprize account. Then last week, they had "Bonus Sprize" money being automatically credited to the account of $10. Picked up a free pair of shorts for the preschooler with the combined Sprize money. I bought more stuff, because they were on sale, and the receipt showed they were even MORE discounted than I thought. I guess, in anticipation of further reductions down the road?

I guess it's a way for The Gap to bring in more customers. I don't know if the Lower Mainland stores are hurting or something, but if they continue to give me free money, I will definitely be picking up some much-needed seasonal clothes for the kids.

And it's kinda nice to know that if the price changes within 45 days, you're not waiting around for that sale at the sale rack! I just hate having to challenge price adjustments!

Sprize program at GAP in Vancouver

LOVE the Sprize program - it was very easy as it kept track of everything and I could go look it up online. I didn't buy anything differently than I usually do at the GAP but I did buy things a bit earlier in the sale cycle - I knew if they were already on sale that they would most likely be going down again within the 45 day period that the Sprize discounts would capture so I would buy as soon as I saw that the things I wanted were on sale (before they were too picked over) and then would just wait for the Sprize money to be deposited in my Sprize account! I have since moved back to Toronto and really do miss that program...here's hoping they expand it to the rest of Canada.
