Before heading out on your next shopping venture, either online or instore, check what savings you might receive simply by subscribing to your favorite store's online newsletter. Newsletters are "opt-in" only these days and don't generally come with a ton of spam like in the past. Plus, many offer first time subscribers an immediate discount upon subscription (GAP, Old Navy and Banana Republic for instance). Plus, if you don't like the emails, you can always unsubscribe after getting your coupons.
