VIA Rail has some amazing last minute deals right now with up to 75% off select routes across Canada (Vancouver to Jasper for $59, reg $239) and kids travel for just $10 (until September 10th, 2010). There are taxes and fees as with any travel but these prices are fabulous and could make for a fun trip back to college or a great last minute family getaway. That's nice, but they don't sell VIA Rail Express Web Deals at up to 75% off, and that's what this posting was about. If you want to book the VIA Rail Express Deals, or check out what they have and they sometimes change daily, you have to go to http://www.viarail.ca/deals and you can check them there. That's the only place where you can see what they are and book them.

By the way, the posting indicates that there are taxes and FEES. That's not correct. VIA Rail does not charge any fees. Only standard sales taxes apply - there are no booking charges, no security fees, no "station improvement" charges, no NAVCAN charges, etc. Only GST or HST or PST depending on the province you're in.
